Unnecessary. Even while moving, if you just lift on the brake pedal and reapply, all will be well. The TC light can still be flashing even. It only limits braking to friction immediately after the TC kicks in until the next de-assertion of the brake pedal.
As bisco said, Traction Control. And it is confirmed by reading the CAN output of the Battery ECU and you can see the charge going in and out.
LOL yes I know someone must own it but it was some weird deal that the city tried selling the land to cornell for a dollar or something. I really dont know enough about it but the bottom line is that the road sucks and i always get bumped out of regen going down it when it is prime down hill for recovering ev power.
You dont understand. The whole section is crap!!! I would be kicked out of regen every second. I should post a video.
But you don't have to put it in park to "reset" it like you said you were doing earlier. I know what cobblestone is. Yes you will be kicked out of it. You will just have to use friction brakes or slap it in B mode.
But I dont want to use friction bakes and B turns on the gas engine. My whole route can be done in all electric as long as I regen on the way down.
So you actually stop on the road every time you're kicked out of regen braking, put it in park, then D and drive on? This is silly.
Did you read my post? I said there were 4 stop light/signs on the down hill. It takes nothing to hit P then D when your already stopped. That way I at least get some regen on the next jaunt before I get kicked out again.
So the big question is, when regen braking is bypassed, how long or what conditions have to happen before it is reactivated?
Oh, that regen. I'd been wondering how that could apply. Is there an indication that regen is off, other than the Charge bar not extending?
