Limited quantities, eh? Methinks it's a blend of the US base and Advance models. I was hoping for two trim levels but if they say limited quantities, chances are, there'll only be one. There will be two trim levels!
Just bought mine at Ste-Thérèse Toyota (Quebec) They were quite surprised to sell the PHV that fast. They said they have only one car per dealership to sell so they are already sold-out at this dealership. If you guys want one, better move fast.
Thanks! Can't wait to receive the plug-in. I've been driving my 2004 Prius for 5 years now and still love this car.
Frankly I do not know who is right. never trust a salesperson they say ; remember they must say those things from time to time to continue to pay their bills or maybe it is Toyota because there is still no official date but if you check the QC gov website they already have the amount of the rebate since April 2012. I have been able to choose the color in June and while doing it I was thinking about you and how much of a liar you think I am. If you want to order one it is ok since June and before they were unable to choose any colors, before they had only allocation numbers based on how well they sell hybrids. Spinelli Toyota is the best selling Hybrid in eastern Canada and if true they will get the biggest allocation of any dlrs. P.S another weird thing about Toyota Canada the Prius C is almost inexistant in any dlr in Quebec and Toyota Canada is buying ads online, radio fr and English to sell the Prius C......
Hoping my dealer gets info this week... I need a Green Plate! Although I will miss the full tech package in my Gen3, especially the heated seats in Winter!
The PHV in Canada comes standard with heated seats. Your dealer won't have the results of your preorder until mid-August, you won't hear anything this week. Wait, TdotBlizzard, you've preordered, right? The initial preorder deadline was July 27 (yeah, last Friday).
We are still waiting for a delivery date. Anyone else who preordered got some news from their dealer? Thanks!
I emailed the sales manager today to inquire about my preorder, he talked to the regional rep who had no news. The initial letter stated we'd know about the initial allocation by mid-August. I have no idea what the holdup is...
No they said they are waiting for news from Toronto. (That mean Toyota Canada I suppose) Now that I know I could receive my PiP anytime, the waiting seems longer! Can't wait to ditch that Civic Hybrid for a brand new PiP. (I want to keep my 2004 Prius as second car even if it's older than the 2007 HCH-II)
I was told the delivery timeframe would be Q4 2012. So don't expect to see the car sooner than October 1st, although anything is possible.
Yes but here is the message that was posted by the "Toyota Canada Prius Plugin" Facebook Account: Facebook fans, we`re pleased to announce pricing for the 2012 Prius PHV with a starting MSRP of $35,700. The Prius PHV will arrive in limited quantities beginning in August 2012. Ontario, Quebec, BC and PEI customers can take advantage of purchase rebates, some over $5,000! Who knows, based on that information, that could be tomorrow!
Well, I suppose they were wrong since I saw this post from Swanny on the "Canadian PHV Pre-order: Confirmed!" thread. Great news, I just heard back from our Area Manager that your/our request for the Prius Plug In has been approved. Production is scheduled for October with delivery expected late November, early December. That's far from August
Well... I'm in pickup truck land... so if you live in a place like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc. you might get your car sooner.
It's great to see that someone finally got a delivery date but october and november is really late... i just hope that we wont be penalized by the fact that we live in northern quebec (so far from the great cities).
2013 MY is up on their page. No changes in price (minor bump for Liftback and minor package changes for Prius v) TOYOTA CANADA: TOYOTA.CA LANGUAGE
