My daughter bought a 2012 Prius 3 earlier this year and we drove it out to California when she relocated. From that 3,000 mile test drive, I was sold! So last week I took delivery of my own Prius 4...Barcelona red. On my first 125 mile shake-down drive, it averaged 51.4 mpg...that's three times the mileage of my last vehicle (which averaged 14-16 mpg)!! Negotiating the deal was relatively painless as I came equipped with pricing data from Edmund's, CarQuote, Costco and KBB & BlackBook on my trade, and I believe I got a fair deal. And I took advantage of the 0% 36-month financing offer...who would turn down free financing?! But the cherry on top of this sundae is the $250 debit card I snagged from Toyota.com, thanks to a heads-up from another poster here on PriusChat. all in all, I'm a very happy new owner, thanks in great part to the great advice I've gathered from this site. Thanks, all!
Here you go: Toyota - National Clearance Event You basically need to answer some questions based on clues and links provided. You get $50 for each correctly answered question. It took me about a half hour. Toyota will send you a debit card back after you purchase the car and enter the VIN info.
Over the 2,980 miles, we averaged 49.8 miles, which I think was incredible given that the Prius was stuffed with my daughter's household stuff, including her dog; the car was brand new - purchased only three days prior; and we drove from Michigan to L.A. via I-80 and then thru the Rockies where we encountered a 60 mph wind storm! Given that test drive, I was sold!
By the way, apparently the site "opens" each morning at 11 am, Eastern time. Each clue allows 50 responses before it stops accepting answers. I first tried to enter the site late in the evening and couldn't get on, but yesterday am it was no problem.
