Some dealers charge, some don't. Your dealer doesn't care for repeat business I guess and recommendations given to others to not use them. Did you express to him that you will neither use them again nor recommend them? Maybe that will get the fee, which is petty in my opinion, waved.

The tech doing the work could quite honestly care less... If it isn't listed for them to do it on the sheet they are given showing what they are supposed to do, many won't go 'above and beyond' that. That's why I was focusing on speaking to the manager more like you said you did and how he wanted to charge you the measly $12 to do the 'work' if you can call it that.

You could use Priuschat as well but if he has no idea what it is he may care less. Letting him know how you'll make sure the local community knows how they want to conduct business may make him listen more.

Yes. The financial manager came to talk to me and he still remembered me after 3 months. What I was told the 5k was just tire rotation. The tech told me I don't need oil change and don't bother to check the oil condition either. I told them I have braking issue when I brake gentle(almost fully "charge" to the left from HSI) while 25-30mph then the car slip 1-2 foot forward. The tech won't listen also and ignore me. When I check out and I ask "did you check the brake?" the tech(another guy, a lot better) said no one notified me! I told please give me paper work to state "ok". I told him I want the "paper document" in case something wrong or I get killed!! He was nervous and told me to setup an other appointment.

In that case I would ask for a meeting with the service manager and general manager for the dealership. I would also recommend that you rate the dealership honestly when the email comes for the actual visit.
