Just got my new Plug-in and love this car! Right away I noticed that the NAV is tough to see on sunny days though. I saw in the store that they have a visor/hood/sunshade thing for the older models but could not find one for a new 2012 Plug-in base model with 6.1 Nav screen. If anyone knows where I can find one please let me know....Or any other way to make is easier to see, I find it odd Toyota did not notice the poor design and build a hood into it. thanks! Dan
Well i decided to just get out some coilstock and make my own...20 minutes all it took most of which was polishing!
I left a lip on top which slips into the groove above nav.....I had a business card in there and it gave me the idea. Dan
Nice work, Rockerdan! (And crappy work, Toyota! Even with the shade the legends on the display are much harder to read than the Gen II display. But without a shade, the display is almost useless.)
in the display setting theres an option for daylight.... that seemed to be pretty effective in alleviating the glare.
where do you mean? are you talking about the contrast and brightness settings? or something else? thanks dan
This is great, I have been looking all over for one. I miss the one I had in the Gen II, I wonder if you caould take a Gen II one and heat/bend to make it work after trimming it down?
