Whoops! Our price is now $4.15 & 9/10 - basically the same as OP. Ten days ago - last fill-up - it was $4.09.
Wow, just hit $3.90+ here in NY. I said to a friend: "The price of gas no longer concerns me." Especially when I filled up after two weeks and only spent $33!!
Here in northwest Oregon. Costco in Warrenton has the least expensive gas at $3.809/ gallon. (reg gas w/ 10% Ethanol) Most places now are at $3.999 / gallon. It seems that about 3 weeks ago Costco's gas was at $3.499 / gallon. Diesel is well over $4.00 per gallon. By Labor day I would expect reg. gas prices to hit $4.109 - $4.309 per gallon. It seems nobody notices until prices hit over $4.00 per gallon. It seems odd but the local Toyota Dealership, "Lums Toyota" in Warrenton, OR, still has Prius's on their lot, at least for now....
Whooo Blue Streak! I honestly have not seen a c in this color except for mine. All I see are grey ones around here.
UPDATE: Gas price at Costco is know at $3.929. 12 cent jump in 4 days. It will keep going up every week or day until Labor Day. That probably is the plan.
When I drove my 17MPG 4X4 Tacoma daily I would feal physically ill when I'd see the gas prices climbing. I can honestly afford it (for now anyway) but I felt like some evil scumbag had me by the balls. Now, with my Prius C I honestly couldn't care much less. It is almost a non-factor. If gas goes up a $1 per gallon it is $9 every 10 to 14 days versus $20 twice a week. What a nice relief. I think gas is around $3.60 per gallon in D/FW but I am not really paying attention.
I just had my first $30+ fillup in my C. Currently $3.719 in Northeast PA. As much as I miss my Infiniti, I would not want to be feeding it premium gas right now. These prices are unheard of in the summer. I wonder what heating oil will cost this winter?
87 octane has risen to 3.61 here in Vegas, but I'm guessing that's partly due to the pending holiday weekend. It was only 3.55 just last week. I have no idea what the dealership put in the tank, but my first fill was with 91 octane then I learned it was wasted on a car such as this, so my fill yesterday was with 87.
Here it's 3.55, and while I find it painful every time I see the price jump up, I also just get more thankful I bought a C instead of a Altima coupe lols... SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 ? 2
I don't drive a "C", but as this is a thread about local gasoline prices ... Here in Lafayette: On July 12th, I filled up Mithril at $3.199 per gallon ... on July 29th at $3.399 ... on August 16th at $3.789 ... and, while I haven't filled up yet since then - I've driven less than 200 miles the last two weeks - I drove past three different stations yesterday and noted that ALL of them were indicating $3.999. It seems there's always a "battle" around here to determine which station will first have the audacity to break out above the four-dollar barrier! I'm with littlebigland above, who said: I said to a friend: "The price of gas no longer concerns me." Especially when I filled up after two weeks and only spent $33!! The three fill-ups from above averaged about 335 miles of driving and cost a TOTAL of $61.75; I usually fill up shortly after Mithril drops from four "pips" to three. In short: If gasoline prices "must" go up, I'm glad that I'm driving a car that, during warm weather, generally ekes out anywhere from 55-65 mpg on "lengthier" in-town trips! EDIT FOLLOWS: Fueled-up again - on the 7th of September - at $3.879 per gallon; so the price I've paid for gasoline is up some 21% in the last two months. This fuel-up cost $26.10, was good for 377 miles, and Mithril averaged a tad over 56 mpg. In short, I am NOT gonna' complain ....
