I just picked up my sliver pkg5 06 Prius yesterday. I have a couple questions. In the luggage compartment does anyone have a cover over the tire tools? When I lift up the cover to the compartment the tools are just sitting there. Just checking if I am missing something. Also is there a way to make the cover to that compartment so that it doesn't bend in half? It makes it hard to access the entire compartment easily. Any tricks. Thanks.

Ghirl. Congratulations on your new baby.

Yes, the tools just sit there exposed. If you prefer, a carpet or rubber mat could be cut to fit in that space.

The cover bends so you can access stuff underneath, without having to move the stuff you have on top. I've found this very handy when the car is packed. Again, this could be changed if you wish, but I suggest you try it for awhile and see if you get used to it.

There is a rod on the left side to hold up the second half after you fold the first half back. Thus the entire cover is open.

Yeah, I like the dual hinged approach.

What I want to know is has anyone found a good solution for dividers. There are slits in the walls for them. But I've not seen them mentioned or for sale anywhere...

ghirl, do you use the window-shade tonneau-cover thingy? After two years I haven't yet needed to store anything in the space under the hard cover.
