Well I got the idea last night after reading Stage 10 Electronic Shifter thread found here. Stage 10 Electronic Shifter available now | PriusChat Its a really cool but I cant justify spending $240 on it. Maybe if it were a little cheaper Id pick one up, however, I really do enjoy the joystick. It makes me think of an old school video game. I dont know if I really want to give that up. So, I thought why not do something a little different while still keeping the oem shifter. I always thought it looked like it should be illuminated, so thats just what I did. The best part, it only took a couple hours and $2 for the LED. I already had the wiring and resistor. Here it is. Let me know what you think....

Very Nice. If I had done it, I would slide a fitted black plastic sleeve around the shift thread and then channel out a space from the inside for the thin wire to flow down. Trying to hide the wire is the hardest part. The OEM look is hard to do. I do like the results. my2cents
