Hissing noise from under the hood, after shut down.

    I noticed my car hiss and hum from under the hook after shut down, for a few minutes. What is it doing?

    This is the sound of the engine wrapping up its work. When I bought my first Prius I thought it was broken. :). Can't say a blog post of a sound description can communicate the sound but here's my attempt: sounds like a bit of a herrr, zizz...bump bump....

    This car does so many things on its own sometimes I am afraid it stands up, transforms into a robot and walks off...
