I'm looking at a used 2010 Prius, labeled by the dealer as a V, but I don't think it is. I'm not sure what options and packages were specifically for 2010. This car has the solar roof, navigation and JBL sound, heated leather seats and the auto-dimming rear-view mirror. I thought the V came with LED headlights, fog lights and 17-inch wheels. The heated seat switch is on the side of the seat, not in the console like most that I've seen. The wheels are the standard Prius wheels. It also looks like there's only one touch-to-lock door handle (the driver's door). I also didn't see any power lumbar button on the side of the driver's seat. The little cover on the aux input says USB Aux as well. What is the actual trim level of this Prius?
I suspected that it was a 4, but I'm wondering where the power lumbar support is. Doesn't the 4 include power lumbar? If it's not on the side of the driver's seat, where would it be?
I still have my 2010 brochure -- Solar Roof was available only on the III and IV, not on the V. V must have LED headlights, fog lights, and 17 inch wheels. No other trim levels had these from the factory. Heated leather and auto-dimming mirror came on both IV and V.
You are right, it could be a III with aftermarket heated leather, which would make the auto-dimming mirror an add-on also. A IV must have 3-door Smart Key and the Plasmaclustor Ionizer and water repellant glass on driver and front passenger side windows. Driver door only SKS, no Plasmacluster, and regular side glass means its a III, not a IV. Those of us who bought 2010s in May-June 2009 didn't have any USB. I think that appeared about October 2009, along with some other updates.
So the auto-dimming mirror and heated seat can be aftermarket or add-ons? I'm thinking it's a III now as well, since I didn't notice the Plasmacluster text on the climate controls display.
I'd guess it is a III as well. The seat heater isn't in the right place for a IV. The V didn't come with a Moonroof (only the III and IV had those). Is there a heater switch for the passenger seat on the side as well? We used to see all sorts of shenanigans when it came to the Gen II Prius, with Dealers advertising the cars as the "Touring" model, but the car didn't have the proper 16" rims.
Where? Isn't that button between MODE and A/C for the 'Micro dust and pollen filter', not Plasmacluster?
There's a heater switch on the passenger side as well. And it's perforated leather. I recall seeing "Plasmacluster" actually printed on the climate control display somewhere on models with that option, but it's not on this one.

That button isn't related to the Plasmacluster. That button exists on all Prius, with and without Plasmacluster--see 2 pix below.
