It's a trick question -- a tree can't fall on a Prius in EV (stealth) mode. The wily Prius is too quiet for the predatory tree to detect, and thus passes by unseen. All part of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

I’m still pondering why a Prius was in EV mode and nobody was driving it. Maybe there was a driver, but he was deaf. So no, he didn’t hear it. Maybe it was a teenage driver with the stereo too loud to hear the tree falling. "If a tree falls on a Prius in EV mode" . . . I didn’t know trees could go into EV mode! Does it make a sound? Are we taking about the Prius or the tree???? More information is needed if we are going to solve this one.
