I read the first page of this thread, which moved me to comment that you're not likely see anyone leaving work in stealth mode in any case. Unless they have an EV button. When my car has been sitting for any length of time, it won't go into electric-only mode for a while, certainly after I've left a parking lot. On the other hand, when people are arriving, well, that should be a different story. And there's so many of these cars around where I live, no one has looked at the car sideways, asked a question, or acted in any way unusual during the six months I've had the car. "Hey, it's one of those electric cars! Shhhh, let's listen to it!" I drove up in my new 06 Prius at a square dance. Before long I was taking all the teenagers out for a spin. I even took the caller out for a spin. They were all amazed how quite it was and the power it had; plus the gas mileage it displayed. I have never had a car were people marvel and stare at with envy.
