Thanks for the welcome, Prius is in the shop as I type, to bad it's raining all day today, makes it difficult to test the new Eibach springs.

 

Not to hijack the thread but Since I am looking to do springs next on my car before going with wheels where are the most reliable and cheapest places to find these springs?

I am between Eibach or Teins I think.

Are Tein's stiffer than eibach because they are slightly lower than the Eibach?

More or less though I just want to know a reliable place that sells them but also isn't going to gouge me with shipping and other stuff when it isn't necessary....

 

From the research I have done and talking to real drivers that have used both springs types I had the same question. Which is stiffer.

The Eibach's seem to give you a more sporty feel albiet you aren't a low to the ground as Tein's but I prefer a more snappy response than the cosmetic looks many people seem to be going with.

 

I love those blacked out lenses. I saw that the website was TWP CO. LTD. on where you could order them, but they seem to be sold out, at least the SB version. Do you know where else you can get some? Thanks.

just finished installing my DF210's. the install went well but i think it's nose high. i wanted a "leveled" look but i think the rears are much lower than the fronts. is there any way to correct this? is there such a thing like a spacer that you can gain a quarter of an inch? or what other springs out there that has like a 1.3-1.4 inch drop. i know that df210 rears are a 1.6 inch drop. and would anyone know if the other companies would sell just the rear spring just incase?

1.3" Front & 1.2" Rear

 

^^I like the H & R drop as it gives a level look similar to the Eibachs but just slightly lower.

 

Yep lower than Eibach but not as slamtastic as the DF210/Htechs?

 

Coming from Honda's, a camber kit is typically required with lowering. Is the Prius camber adjustable, or is it within mfg specs when lowering?

 

I have the same...but for some reason(I think the installer cut a corner) it rattles.

 

Just got done with my springs and painting the factory rims.

I got the Eibach Pro Kit springs from Auto Anything on line with a new customer on line discount shipped to me for $ 198.00 and Ive sent in for the Eibach Summer Rebate for another 10% off so I hope to get $ 19.95 back from them. So total cost of parts will be about $ 180.00 and a couple cans of gloss black rustolem and clear rustolem for the wheels

Install was quick and easy.

I have only driven it about 150 miles so far but the ride actually feels smother on the freeway than before and the cornering is a little flatter so Im happy with the change and the look.

 

Anyone notice once you drop the car a shark fin antenna is almost a must?

I lowered mine on PLUS springs this past Saturday. Paid $120 to have Toyota install them. Car was dropped off at 7:45am and ready by 10:30am, including alignment and a complimentary car wash. The car looks lower today and I love the stiffer ride.

 

So not to rain on people's parade but why are some of you lowering your cars with springs but no changing shocks? You're not getting optimal performance and the stock shocks will blow fairly quickly. (If you want technical explanations why I can.) If you are going to lower the vehicle, save yourself the headache and do it once correctly otherwise you'll be redoing work. This may include getting a front and rear camber kit.
