I previously had a MY 2010 Prius and would have traffic always showing on my navigation (I paid for Sirius Nav traffic). I now have a MY 2012 with regular nav (not HDD) and have noticed that it only shows traffic when I connect the Entune to my phone's internet and even then it sometimes doesn't display.

Is this normal? I don't remember it ever showing me traffic when it's not connected to the internet and I'm still paying for Nav Traffic. Trying to figure out if this is a car problem or Sirius. Thanks.

I think that the non-HDD unit uses your data to carry traffic, not Sat like your '10 Prius or the HDD '12 units.

Correct on the lower end nav it's Inrix data through the phone, not XM.
