Just bought a steering wheel cover from Amazon, but the standard size cover turned out to be too large for my C's steering wheel. I've noticed the steering wheel is actually in an oval shape, where the bottom part is flat. I doubt if any steering wheel cover would fit it. Does anyone else have the same issue? Has anyone successfully installed a steering wheel cover?
Yes, I ran into the same issue. I solved the problem by spending a good amount of extra money here: Wheelskins - The World's Finest Genuine Leather Motoring Accessories, Steering Wheel Covers, Driving Gloves and Shift Boots getting the right fit (they have the Prius C specs) and spending a couple hours on a weekend installing it. Very nice cover, though.
Good morning. I was just thinking of having or installing a leather steering wheel cover myself. How does your look? Does it look like it is OEM or not so much? Would love to see a few photos of your leather wrapped steering wheel!!
I'm also thinking of adding a steering wheel cover, but for $59.00 I would like to see one installed if you could snap a picture it would be appreciated.
Just ordered sample swatches of grey and black from wheelskins to determine if it will be a match to my two tone grey and black leather interior. If its a match, I will place an order.
My C3 came with the synthetic leather from the Port in Jacksonville, Florida. It's listed on my OEM Toyota invoice, here is a picture. I don't think the grey from wheel skins is going to match the light grey interior. I am waiting on the swatches to check before I order. If not I will go with an all black leather instead of two tone.
All 2012's use Softex synthetic leather. If its real leather it's dealer or port installed, not factory.
Got the color swatches from wheel skins the light grey does not match the light grey interior of my C. So I may just order solid black.
Has anyone done the steering wheel cover yet? I would like to make this my next accesory but still waiting on pictures of someone else's.
