I have the ORIGINAL Battery Charger Cable, 110V that came with my 2012 Chevy Volt that I can sell. Never used. I traded up my 2011 for the 2012 and i forgot my 2011 cable at home but the dealer said it's ok, they didn't need it (weird). so now i have an xtra one. I can sell it for $270 shipping included. I know the lowest price that these are selling for is $360 on shopchevyparts.com Paypal accepted. I will ship it as soon as I receive the money Volt Battery Charger Cable - 110V - 22809287 - - by Gm - Keep One Battery Charger Cord at Home and - $360 buy mine for only $270
$270 for a extension cord? Seriously? Talking about taking advantage of people who don't know how to solder their own wires... Hey, I mean you're saving some sucker $100 what they'd regularly have to pay, right? It's all good... I'm sure someone in a Chevy chat group might buy it? They have Chevy Volt chat groups, right?
A. It is a mobile EVSE, much more than an 'extension cord'. B. That looks like the original cable, it has been recalled. I would not buy it. C. As stated above, this isn't a Volt forum, seems odd advertising it here.
The Volt's EVSE will not work with the PiP, unfortunately. At work we tried multiple versions and the PiP just wasn't happy with the Volt's EVSE. Simply wouldn't charge at all.
I guess you have no idea how much EVSEs actually cost. Nissan used to charge ~$500 for theirs but per My Nissan Leaf Forum • View topic - Nissan massively increases cost of new EVSE's (Ingineer is pEEf here), it went up to $934.82. People have built there own (My Nissan Leaf Forum • View topic - Open EVSE) and IIRC, a qualityJ1772 cable and connector is >$200 alone. edit: Found some prices for the cable w/connector at J1772CableSources - open-evse - Cables available in low quantity - Open Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) - Google Project Hosting . Are you interested in building your own charging cable? | PriusChat mentions it cost him about $600 to build his own Open EVSE.
I might be interested.. but I could not find how to PM on this new site? You are, however, a new member with little history? Willing to post it on ebay (where I'd get buyer protection).. you can raise the price a little so you still get the $270
To send a PM, click on the user's name, then click on "Start a conversation" and that will send a private message. $270 for the Volt's EVSE is a pretty good deal. I really like the cord management of the unit, and the ability to run it at 8A instead of 12A. It's just a shame that the PiP doesn't like it for whatever reason. The Volt's EVSE will work with 2011 and 2012 Leafs. See Charging PIP using Chevy Volt 110V charge cord | Page 2 | PriusChat for a compatibility chart that we came up with.
It's not a PM anymore, now it's start a conversation. Click on someones avatar pic and a pop up window appears, and there is a link in it to start a conversation.
I don't have an eBay account. I guess I can create one. But anyhow, you should get same protection from Paypal as you will get from eBay. they are one and the same company after all. let me know what you want to do.
so i created an eBay auction for anybody who feels safer doing the transaction via eBay and then pay via Paypal. Chevrolet Volt 2012 EVSE - Battery Charger Cable | eBay
I deleted the thread you just started today in the volt forum, 'dr.'. All threads pertaining to sales go in here so just bump this one if you want to, but please don't post in the general forums trying to sell stuff. Thanks for the understanding.
--------- Is this still for sale? I have a 2013 Chevy Volt and would like a second cable so I can leave it plugged in at home. It's a luxury item for me, but if you still have yours perhaps you're willing to let it go for a great price? Thanks!
