No Entune Traffic Conditions ?

Yes. I noticed that my traffic conditions haven't been working on the nav unit but they appear to be working on the Entunes app on my phone. Glad it's not only me. Hope they fix it soon.

 

Could you post the resolution if they come back with one? Thanks.

 

I have actually been meaning to post about this as well. I have noticed that traffic has been missing since about last fri the 20th.
I recall this has happened a couple months ago, and it seemed to have fixed itself then. Hopefully the same will happen again.

 

I've never seen any traffic reports other than on interstates (I'm in the Boston area). Since it doesn't even include non-interstate divided roads, it's pretty useless to me anyway. Even my old Garmin had more traffic info.

Traffic was so nice to me today. Let me sit in 1.5 hours of bumper 2 bumper down 405. When I arrived home it started working

How do you utilize the traffic? I can only get a list of hazards, but cant get them on the map. You just read the list and decide a route on your own?

 

Hi Adam, are you plugging your phone into the car and starting the entune app on the phone?
The car should pull down traffic conditions -- whether or not you have a route enabled. Then when you tell the navi where you want to go, the car will route you the fastest way with the least amount of traffic (similar to TomTom and Navigon on the iPhone). As far in town on surface streets, I do not know if it is like waze and knows average speed of streets through LA. Like driving east and west from west side to downtown. Waze is really good at that.

If you use freeways.. it should be pulling down average traffic speeds on all freeways in LA.

 

If you are really interested in the latest traffic conditions, download the app ... Waze. It uses crowd sourcing to keep up with the latest conditions. Make sure you have your phone plugged into a power source, because it uses a lot of battery power checking for updates.

Thanks. I do it over bluetooth and have been using all the features. I have got the list to come up, but haven't played with traffic that much. I use the "short route" on navigation and love the way it takes me on back roads.

Hey Adam. I used to use Bluetooth when my iPhone was jailbroken. There are some extra steps you need to take to set it up. Doesn't sound like it is pulling traffic down. Yes you will see green, yellow and red lines on the freeways when it is pulling traffic. If they are orange, then it is not working.
