Dealer called and said they are finally going to receive my white 06 Prius. Most all that are coming in are with package 7, they will add my leather at the port (south east). Guess you could call it a package 8 then. While I'm getting a $500 discount off MSRP, I was told they will be added a $2500 premium on all future sales for awhile because all the other dealers are doing it but my price will not change. Are any others out there hearing the same?? Should be at the dealer for my pickup around 15 Jan. Dealer said white is very hard to come by. The wait is nearing the end. Bob
Sounds Like You're Getting the SE Region "Package 7L" Ripoff See my earlier post. You must be close enough to another Toyota region to make a small trip to get a real Package 8. Your dealer's "Premium" is a dream and your $500 off MSRP is a deal. MSRP seems to be the "norm", but with increased production, I suspect discounting will become the "new norm". Good luck.
our dealership is charging 5k over, when I asked why they said its what the market will bear, I won't even get my employee discount, I'll probably be getting a plane ticket and cross country Prius trip they said I'll get it for sticker, if i have to I do that but I'm going to try to get it for less and without all the crap SET adds to the cars
Vincent I see what your saying. I just wasn't too wild about the fabric I saw in the 06s and decided to get the port leather. I will miss the leather steering wheel though. My wife cannot understand why a car in this price does not have a moon roof. Oh well maybe on the next update they will add more options. We plan on looking at the new Camry's down the road but only if mileage is comparable.
