After we reach a new climate change steady state, will North America be like Australia?

Something I like about Brits and Aussies is that they can take a joke.

Do you know why Australia got the prisoners and America got the Puritans?

    Australia had first choice.

Sorry, Dave, but that is incorrect. Most of the weather in the world moves from west to east, and the Australian west coast hardly has any mountains at all, whereas, North America has the Rockies right down the length of the west coast. What that mountain range does is push the air up to a point where the water vapour cools and the rain/snow starts to fall. In Australia, the mountain range is on the east coast, so, like North America, we do get more rain east of the range, but for us it is just the very thin fringe of the country.

As for Fosters, you can have it. No self respecting Australian would touch that stuff, unless there was no other beer available.

Ha ha that's why you keep on trying to send it to us!

One beer I believe is popular your way but almost impossible to get here other than at significant cost is VB. I believe you copied off the French in how they deal with their wine; export the crap and keep the best for yourselves.

    Australia's answer to Budweiser

    * American Bud, not Czech Budweiser which is not related and is good beer.

Yes, the Rockies are about 800 to 1200 miles east of the West Coast and the Cascades and Sierra Nevada are between the coast and the Rockies, as well as some other ranges. It's also wetter on the west side of the coastal mountain ranges, Cascades and Sierra Nevada than it is on the east side.
