All, Today in a parking lot we saw a brand-spankin' new Gen III (no plates yet) that was a very pleasant light-blue color and no, it was not a PIP (sorry, didn't get any pics). It was decidedly more blue than the Sea Glass Pearl, at least as it appears on Toyota's web site. Is it possible there was a mid-year refresh in color selection?
That color looks quite different in different lighting. The Toyota website is misleading in some cases.
+1 Toyota's website is way too green, I think. My car is Sea Glass Pearl. Sometimes it looks green, and sometimes it looks blue. It looks especially blue on overcast days or when parked in shadow. Usually it looks sort of aqua-ish. If you do a google search on Seaglass Pearl Prius and look at photos, you will see the range of colors.
I'd say Seaglass Pearl & Blizzard Pearl are the two best Prii colors They need to come out with the Plus Perf package in Seaglass. That would look slick as hell. Mike
I agree, as that's what I would have done, if it had been available. But I didn't want any of the colors that the Plus Perf package comes in.
I thought of this after I picked up my car, it could have been ordered as a Seaglass Pearl and separately order the Plus Perf package and have it painted in Seaglass Pearl That would have likely made a one of a kind Seaglass Pearl Plus Perf packaged Prius Blizzard Pearl was my first choice and I said to myself if there was any issue getting one that I would switch to the Seaglass Pearl color. I have no regrets but that was my other option So with that thought in mind, are you gonna order the kit and have it painted? That Toyota dealer in Bloomington Indiana sells the complete kit on eBay the last I knew. Mike
Yeah.... don't think so. That's a bit above my budget. I reached a little to get the solar roof - which I adore - and I'm happy where I'm at.
Bummer I do know what you say as the car was freakin expensive without the Plus stuff. I got ~$34k into my baby Enough is enough after a while. Mike
