Took my wife and child to the drive-in theater last night. The V was the best drive-in car I have ever used. We pulled in with about a half charge on the traction battery and were able to leave the car 'running' for the full evening (two features and dancing hot dog intermission ). The gas motor came on about 6 times for about 3 minutes each time. I had the fan running on two bars the whole time to keep fresh air coming in while allowing us to keep the windows closed and mosquito's out. We left the panoramic roof open and had a fabulous view of the stars! Rear seats were folded down and a pad and some blankets laid out for our son. It was fantastic...can't wait for the dusk to dawn night! Oh, just bring a small hand towel to cover the instrument cluster and another for the navi screen. For those Cannucks out their, make sure to engage the parking brake and turn car off then on to disable the DRL's.
1. super cool - i remember being food for many bugs one humid evening at the drive in many years ago. 2. there are still places with drive-ins which is super cool.
I can't believe it's mid July and I haven't gone to the drive in yet. This may be the encouragement I need. Thanks
