Quite right. backup means copy. I'm generally using Windows Explorer running from -> Start -> Programs -> Windows Explorer. It's better than CECMD.exe (TotalCommander) cause keyboard pop up for rename or something else is no problem. First step you have to terminate the UI. Put this tool into root of sd card and click button "Update" on screen Options / System.

 

Unfortunately your unit has built in radio tuner "NATURE". I'm sorry, but there is no MCU update for these units with NATURE tuner. This special Update would ne necessary to replace UI D2880 by i9. Without MCU update i9 UI would'nt work.

 

So eazy just read this forum fron bigining. I did the same. Make sure ti bavkup your NAND FLASH drive and Staticstore before you do anything.

I search in the forum how to start for beginner but unfortunatly didn't find post about this.
I found some information but it is give me clear idea about how to start, step to do, etc...

Kindly I need your support to know how
1- Backup my actual NAND or whatever need to be backup
2- To upgrade my OS from 1.40 to 1.53 (what's the tool, steps, etc...)

I'm sorry, but that's right. The only thing you can change is to add new skins if you like.
Here are some to download. If you don't know how to replace current logo by Toyota pls ask I can do it for you.

How can I know if my system is 128M or 256M RAM (i have brand "Roadrover", model "C7047T1") as I found 2 different 1.53 firmware

Last question: what is the last IGO version to be install on the unit?

For Prius, backup is simply copying the files in NAND FLASH and StaticStore folders ona USB disk or SD card.​

For non Prius cars, the names might be a little bit different.​

Have a look at top right corner of main screen. Maybe V1.25.5 or less

Run tool ResInfo.exe It will show all system infos.

GUI version at topright corner is very tiny and pale but it's there.
NAND FLASH is just as StaticStore one of the drives under My Device.
Put this tool into root of your sd card and push "Update" on screen Options / System. It will terminate the GUI and you will see Windows Desktop. Then run Start/Programs/Windows Explorer and you can copy & paste complete drive NAND FLASH same way as StaticStore.

For the main screen UI version (top Right), really I have nothing...I put britness to max, contrast...nothing !

Regarding the NAND, yes thanks I went in NAND disk then wrap and drop all files and folder in my USB keys.

Also I have a question for my poor sound quality...there is an option E-AMP or I-AMP, when I select one or the other, not difference at all in the sound...is it normal ? I have JBL Syntethis in my CAR...is there any link ?

 

Yes 95.8 MB is ok. That's just available for program memory. The other part of nearly 30 MB is already used my Windows.
About GUI version: I know it's displayed very pale, you must see from above sloping.

About OS V1.53: Yes you undate without risc. Just put the 4 files into root od a SD card and after inserting the card power on the unit. Update will run automaticly.

About E-AMP / I-AMP: This controls the audio output on RCA plugs. It means Internal or External (amp)

Regarding UI, I check the screen at all and no version. Is there any way to get it from tool ?

 

No, not available from tool. Try to change the skin maybe it's better visible on another skin.

Skins can be selected in screen Options / System. I assume there should be more than one skin (subfolder) stored into your folder D2280\Skins ? If that is right but the GUI will not show all to select, pls post you file config.ini which is stored in D2280 and I will check and edit it.

 

I have in system 2 skin: Cyan and Orange and with both impossible to get UI version
