Okay- I updated the Entune last night but didn't have time to test it out. I was not a happy camper this morning when I discovered that none of my apps are working now and it keeps saying that I don't have a good internet connection. My Pandora won't even bluetooth now and when I plug in my iphone, it says that it is connected but when I try and open Pandora, Iheartradio, weather, any of those apps- it sits there for a long time thinking and then finally says that there is not a good internet connection?? My bluetooth still works fine for phone calls though. Anyone else have any issues? Any suggestions??
I did the update from the files posted here. No problems at all. iHeartradio works a lot better than Pandora. I would suggest rebooting your iPhone. Hold both buttons and then swipe to power off. This usually clears up all of my connection issues with the C.
Try adding the Entunes ID and Password back in on the settings on the car. I think that is in Setup. I think the car uses them to log in to the Entunes interface in the background.
That happens to me every other time i get in the car. I press the setup button and then choose bluetooth and paired device list. From there I select my device and disconnect all. When its disconnected I then turn off the phones bluetooth and turn the phone bluetooth back on. Once the phone says its "listening" again, I then press the connect for internet button on the bluetooth setup screen on the car, it will tell you a phone connection is required, press OK. The car will then connect phone and internet. This has about an 80% success rate - there are serious connectivity issues with entune which I was hoping would be resolved with this release but they were not. Oh well, at least pandora sound quality is WAY better than before. The new audio controls are essentially useless to me and I will not be using any of the new apps, I wish you could remove the ones you dont use.
Eyow! None of that and I think you can fix it. I leave my Hotspot on on the phone. Get in the car. It automatically hooks up to Blue Tooth for phone. The app selections (Pandora, Traffic) show up once the BT connection is made. If I touch them, car connects to internet and they are available. No. 1 is make sure the Entunes ID and PWD are saved on the car in Setup. You should not have to pair the phone every time nor enter the ID and PWD each time. PS This is for iPhone.
^^ This may be more relevant to the original poster since they are also using an iphone. I am using android and even though the phone bluetooth is on and the car says its connected when I get in, the apps still tell me "No internet connection available" - the process I documented above works for me most of the time to get the apps to work, but I have not had to ever re-enter my entunes ID or password. Toyota still has a lot of bugs to work out...
\ I DID THE UPDATE WITH MY PHONE IN THE CAR, AND THE BLUETOOTH ON MY PHONE PICKED UP THE UPDATE AUTOMATICALLY THROUGH THE BLUETOOTH CONNECTION?
Hey folks, I fixed the tethering problem with the DUN settings. It seems they've reset some defaults and while my initial impression was that Toyota had completely broken tethering, it's just that they've made it not obvious. Doing this makes the internet work over Bluetooth/Wifi for me. HOW TO FIX: Toyota Entune 2.0.1 Update breaks Internet Tethering over Bluetooth - Scott Hanselman
Hello Scott, how does the wifi hotspot work? Does that come on iphones with data plan with at&t? I need to get a username and password looks like to use it without it being plugged in with the entune app?
