    Thanks, my friend. :)

    The CT scan didn't show anything so they feel secure in getting rid of the port. If something small shows up on the colonoscopy they will likely treat it in some other way or I will just use the typical IV if they wanted to use chemo. The problem with the port is the potential for jugular thrombosis (happened once) and the continued use of blood thinners. Ultimately, the dates just sorta fell that way as it was the earliest available appointments.

    Right now I am just trying to get back to a healthy weight. That drop from 182lbs pre-surgery in January to 153lbs now is just not good for me. At 6'3" I look like a skeleton. I just bought a bunch of nutritious calorie dense food and a huge tub of QuickMass weight gainer drink mix. I'll get my weight back up pretty quickly with an extra 1,000 calories a day. LOL

    I figured you'd thought it through, but I can't help playing doctor.

    So, you know I'm a bit goofy and a bit of a dork, but when you said you looked like a skeleton all I could think of was Lindsey Lohan, lol. Then, I thought of Achmed. Then I thought, hmmmm, should I make that comment or not? And of course, my answer was "yes, you've never showed good judgement in 30 years, so go for it".

    I vote for beer intake to make up those 1000 calories a day. I'd easily hit that 1000 calories, because beer makes me hungry, and then I eat an entire nacho appetizer at buffalo wild wings. Mmmmmmm gluttony!

    Completed the colonoscopy today and I'm clean as a whistle! I better be after a gallon of laxative. :/

    So now I just sit back and enjoy life. I'll perform regular testing to try and catch it easily if it comes back but for now I am free!

    I'm so happy that it is somewhat over and I am grateful to all of you who have followed me and provided so much support when I really needed it. I love you guys!

    CARPE PABULUM in his case.*

    * Accusative in pabulum's** case
    ** I never actually studied Latin, but I looked up the case and declension to make sure I had it right. Dork alert.
