After 2 months of working with the Tanabe "Sustec" TUB153F with my Prius"v," which I discovered, has the same chassis, basically as the Generation III, I have PERFECTED a Version 3 of the "fron chassis" brace.

While I like and cant compete with their coil-overs and exhaust components, I improved their "front chassis" bar, which is the same bar as the TUB153F used on the 2010+ Gen III Prius.

Mine weighs about 3 ounce more installed, is composed of a massive "stress free" design, closely fittted, with 1/2 inch less hangdown, more compact, and even stronger, with no weld annealing of the hardened aluminum to 'crack" under stress. And, mine is immediately available.

I have made only a few for deserving Priuschat users. Please semd me a PM, if you are interested.

    I have uploaded comparative photos.

Those Tanabe holes look like it's got a LOT of play in them. I just can't wait to install them on the car.

Hey Mike how would you recommend I go about laying some paint on your bars? Would I need to scuff it up lay primer then paint?

    Anthony,

I'd scuff it up with some Scotchbrite pads and prime it with Rustoleum "self etching primer" for aluminum. It's $5,99 a can ant Home Depot and $4.77 at Walmart in the Auto Department.

    Hope this helps,

    Mike

Thanks bud, now I just have to figure out paint. White to match the rear sway, or red to match the front sway ughh decisions.

It's designed to give the car a better feel around turns. I really noticed it on some freeway "on and off ramps" that I drove on daily.

I'd like the Priuschat shop to offer it. I'm an inventor and a developer of ideas. I'm really NOT into manufacturing.

I'd like to see them them make a lot of money, so that they can keep to Priuschat forums going.
