It's simply a card slot. I think it's discussed in the owners manual. Works perfect for my corporate ID badge.
Thanks. I could not find anything in the manual about the slot. I guess you could also use it for a parking receipt, or to have a "donation" handy when you get stopped for speeding. LOL
No worries, the owners manual is dense. As for donations, luckily our Vs don't gather attention like sports cars. Lol.
As mentioned, it is a card slot, basically a small convenience slot for things like Toll Cards, Parking Passes and the like where you don't have to fish it out of a pocket or some weird place for quick access.
Personally I think it's a waste of space that should have a small compartment or drawer for coins or whatnot.
I like it and feel it's a nice thoughtful touch to have a genuine place in which to store turnpike tickets without concern of their flying around the cockpit or out the window. It sure is better than the elastric strap that we used to have on the back our sunvisor intended to serve a similar purpose.
