I want to have my front windshield tinted. Really just a strip up top. I have not done so because this thing. Anyone know what it is? I bought the car used. It appears to be just stuck like a sticker but I am concerned about removing it when I have no clue what it is. Alien garage door opener maybe? This thing is on the drivers side. View from out side. It's not stock, and probably not functional. I'd remove it. It may be where someone mounted something to the windshield.
Looks to me like a vision obstruction that needs to be removed. Nothing like that on my 2010 or 2012. Could it be an RFID label for tracking while it was in the used car marketing stream?
It's on my 2011 also. I think it is an RFID tag for dealer use in the service line. If I ever happen to go to the dealer (stealership), I'll ask - but I think I'm close in my guess.
Sorry if it's already been answered, but it's normally used to scan and inventory your car when it gets off of the boat at port. One day I went into my local dealership for service and when I got my car back it was removed. Remove it, it doesn't do anything worthwhile anymore.
