anyone have specs or diagram or instruction on how to take the dash pieces off to change them out and put back on? is it just pull off snap back on?
The dash removal is pretty complex task. To remove the upper or lower dash you will need to remove generally every sub-panel you see, just from my memory - center console, start-stop, side air vents, A pillars, side doors scuffs , side, inner defrosters and etc. panels. EDIT: sorry, I overlooked that question is inside prius C section. The easiest way to cover this job is to login to: Toyota Service Information and download the instructions from Repair manual - section INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM.
i think i should of been a little more specific sorry. im referring to the two dash pieces above the glove box that have the swirl pattern design on them that are white or black depending on the model u have.

yank panel piece surrounding the radio.. then yank the a/c vent on the passenger side.. then yank the panel piece you speak of. easy peezy.
Does anyone out there who has access to Toyota's system know how much those plastic pieces cost? I might like to swap mine out for black ones but I don't want to pay $15 or whatever it is just to look at what the prices are.
So how would one go about finding that information? Just going to a dealership and asking? I can't find any parts stores online that list the C.
yea.. that's what i usually do when i need to price stuff out. but speaking with experience.... they're usually not cheap.
the part numbers for the dash to change to black are....55479-52030-c0 and 55474-52030-c0 they are $150 and sme change from the dealer i found them online for like $90 together
I am also looking to change mine to the black color. Can you share where you found it online? Thanks, Wrabbit.
I know this post was a long time ago, but how easy peezy is it?! Do you just use a (plastic) flat screwdriver to prop the pieces out?
