Screen Brightness and Contrast

    Prius forum,
    I think there was thread on this issue but I couldn't find it.

    I have a Prius C II and have experienced the glare problem on
    the Nav screen. I tried to adjust the contrast and brightness
    but it didn't help. Has anyone found a solution for this?

    Dark tint on the rear passenger window helps if you're interested in that approach. You can try it by covering the rear passenger window with a dark towel and sitting in the drivers seat and looking at the screen again.

    Turning the brightness all the way up and the contrast all the way down helped significantly.

    Thanks for the replies.

    It is a III my bad.
    I did turn the brightness all the way but it didn't seem to help much.

    Turning the contrast down is what made the difference on mine. Counterintuitive, but it worked.

    I am getting my windows tinted in the next couple of days.. I am hoping that will help with mine. :)

    i get a sweet glare across just about everything of mine, soon to have 5% rear 40% front

    also, for those who turn on their headlights during daytime, adjust for that as well (brightness up, contrast down). couldn't see the screen at all before adjusting

    you can also adjust to keep it bright at all time with the dimmer sw just left of the steering wheel.
