Happy 3rd Birthday to our 2010 Prius! Mine arrived 5/30/2009. Some of the other earlier adopters would be celebrating this milestone just about now as well. Those who have made it this far - how is your car holding up? Are you happy with your purchase?

I've had to have some window trim replaced and revise the cargo net (both warranty). The shifter is starting to stick from reverse back to its resting position, which I'll have addressed at my next service appointment (extended warranty). I also get a strange situation after sitting for a few hours or more just before starting the car where the brakes don't fully apply unless I release the pedal and reapply (like boost pressure isn't being directed appropriately). On a slant, the car may roll unexpectedly if I'm not prepared for it. It can be overcome by releasing and reapplying, or pressing harder on the pedal.

Otherwise, short of service bulletins for braking, it's been reasonably trouble-free with a lifetime pump-calculated average of 48.5mpg at just under 39,000 miles.

I bought a used 2010 Prius that just went over 36K. Nothing to complain about. :)

Mine will be 3 on 07/08/12. Birthdate was 07/08/09, which is so easy to remember. No problems, but I also experience that rock hard brake pedal at times that also becomes super sensitive. Release and reapply and it is gone. My life time MPG after 48,000+ miles, strangely enough, is exactly 50 in Excel. It has been as high as 52.7183 and occurred after 4,319 miles. There are many little things I'd change on the car if I could but overall, I am happy with it and would buy another one.

Ours recently turned 3 also. We were the First 2010 Prius in New York.
Car runs just like it did back then.
We have only done oil & rotations every 5K miles to date. We still love her today as we did the day she arrived.

Picked mine up on 07/08/09 as well. I just passed 40K. Calculated mpg to date is 47.91. I will buy another one as my next car, but I think this one is going to last for a long while. No major problems at all.

Mine will be 3 in early July. Change oil(still looks almost new at 10K miles), rotate tires every oil change, nothing else. Great roomy mid size road car, Made a 400 mile trip to a car show today, drove at the speed limit where ever posted 75 -4 lane 65 -2 lane, averaged 56 mpg on good quality E10. How could anyone not like that ?

Ours will be 3 on 6/6/2012. We turned over 70k last week. It has only been back 1 time for a loose connection to a side airbag. The Yokohama tires were replaced at almost 60k miles with Goodyear Fuelmax. On trips, it's still easy to get 60 to 65mpg fcd at 60 to 65 mph. The only problem is that it is over reporting mpg by about 6 mpg.

I traded my 2010 Prius V with AT package 3 months ago when my Plug-in Prius came in but I had no issues with it. Yeah, if the radio was off in the winter when cold out it had the infamous dash rattle but with the radio on it didn't bother me, and my radio is just about always on.

One thing I miss that my 10' had that my 12' doesn't is the lane keep assist. I'm enjoying the HUD but for long trips, even with the beeps occasionally I was someone who liked the LKA.

Well we normally would take long trips with our 2003 Jetta Wagon TDI (Turbo Diesel). But now we use the
Prius as it pencils out to be less expensive and my wife doesn't drive the 5-speed manual on the Jetta.

Also out here in the coast the nearest places to really shop is in Portland Oregon or Longview Washington which
is over 150 miles round trip.

A friend of mine jumped on the opportunity to buy my 2010 (5/26/2009 birthday) when my PHV was delivered. He and his wife love it. That's their second Prius too, so it's in good hands. 55,835 miles when I sold it, all trouble free. The lifetime average calculate at the pump came to 50.0 MPG.

And quite the opposite of you, I had extreme cold temperatures to deal with. That was never a problem. Driving through snow with this generation was nice too.

My 2010 Prius will be 3 years old on 8/28/12, Tuesday, and has 51k miles. Other than a driver's door interior panel and an instrument panel replaced under warranty I have had no other issues with the car.

I waxed it this weekend and it looks just as good as the day I drove it off of the lot. I still enjoy getting in the car to drive every day and I am amazed how much I miss the car each time we take my wife's car out of town or I drive a rental car for work.

Here's to many more years and miles of driving this amazing vehicle.
