New car. I think I could toggle between EV (green light) and HV (red light). Now instead of HV the car does switch between EV and EV/ECO. Am I doing something wrong. I want to avoid a trip to the dealer.

I questioned the same thing about a month ago. When in EV it switches to HV as needed, not Eco mode. The icon means your driving in an eco manner. When you hit the Eco mode button you'll see another icon light up for that function.

    Overloaded terminology.

The ECO button turns on the green ECO light on the dash, and indicates that you wish the system to favor a more fuel ECOnomical operational mode, as opposed to favoring higher performance. This does things like make the throttle less sensitive, and tweaks the way the A/C works.

The ECO label on the Hybrid System Indicator screen means that you are driving in an ECOnomical manner at this instant. This is independent of whether you have ECO mode set.

Yup. Fortunately, I'm making headway with the User-Guide update... adding photos & descriptions for the wide variety of scenarios drivers will encounter. Not sure when I'll get it done, but I've been paying close attention to comments & questions to make sure the heavy-hitters get addressed.

Good work, John. This is both useful and helpful to lots of people.

I ran across a little thing which was bothering me for quite a while but I finally figured it out. The monthly average readouts were on the wrong month. It finally occurred to me that maybe the calendar needed setting and that did the job after I figured out the the way to change the month was to run the days until the month changed. The owner's manual does not explain that and the car came without the calendar being correctly set. Mine was a year and two months off!
