Yes, I could do that with my civic, and taurus before that, but doesn't work with the v. I've been driving it for nearly 6 months and still trying to figure that one out (and I often need to parallel park). I usually tap the curb with my tire, then adjust from there. A bit annoying but it gets the job done.

I kind of thought that was the case with the Prius V because the Matrix is very similar, but what you are doing, you are correct. The nice advantage with your car, you have the backup camera on your Prius V, which I am dying to have. So, with the factor that you have with your Prius V does not deter me from buying one. :) Thanks for the feedback! :)

No problem, it's also possible to turn down the right side mirror and get a clear view of where you're at but, it makes the mirror kind of worthless while driving so you'd have to do that every time you parked.

if you think the prius v has blind spots, you ought to try driving the venza or a chevy traverse. the traverse is similar to driving a full sized "BARN" , and don't dare think about backing that thing up !!

Well, that is for sure! It is like you need to sit way up, and look way into your mirror. I have to do that when I am backing into my driveway, and I have a wooden "curb" at the side of the driveway.
