Mike, My Tapatalk was not working since yesterday than magically earlier today it started to work again. IDK if it was something I did or maybe Danny did something on his end? Aloha, Ed Posted from my iPhone via the Tapatalk app.
Got it working. It turns out the new priuschat is not the same forum as the old one. So, you have to delete the old one from your local profile, search for the forum again, and re add it. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?fxmtqe
The DNS change might have been the first clue that it wasn't the same forum (site) as the old one. Tom
Best part about the upgrade.... the extreme top right with the user control panel drop down menu, the inbox and alerts. Nice.
I just dropped in to see the new software and sample the wares. I voted 'neutral': (+) the colors and details seem nicer (-) takes a lot of screen-estate (-) miss the e-mail option to PM someone (+) the 'chat' or alternate to PM communications appears friendlier (not that I would know) I was kinda hoping to see a mileage database but there are so many available at other sites. Also, my 'password recovery' of the original 'bwilson4web' account seems a little slow (it has only been 18 hours.) Regardless, given the problems vBulletin has suffered, this looks to be a decent change. GOOD LUCK! Bob Wilson
Bob, nice to see you back on. Email is still not working properly, but I hope to get it resolved over the weekend. Mileage database is coming. For real this time.
It's harder to look at, somehow; too much whitespace, pastel colors and graphical window dressing? Ah, I just realized one definite contributor to hard-to-read-ness: there are too many different sizes of font. Make them all more nearly the same size. Someone here recently wrote, "I love progress but I hate change". (Somehow search does not find it...) Ditto that :_>
Prius owners must be at least a little more open to change than mainstream. I can only imagine what goes on at a PT Cruiser website when the software changes
Is it me, or does the upgrade actually take you to where you left off in a thread when re-visiting it? I think it does, but my mind (what's left of it) has been known to play tricks on me every now and again.
Can I turn off the going to the last point? I think that if I tell the sw to mark all forums read it thinks that I have read everything. Then if on a subsequent visit I go to a thread that didn't grab my attention earlier, I get bumped to the latest post. I hope that made some king of sense. What about search, is that working? I keep getting error messages.
Thanks, Danny. I sort of like it, but is there a way to go to my last post in the thread so I can see what the heck I was talking about?
I think it's great. You can't expect to make everyone on the WWW happy all the time. Thanks Danny. BTW what is that on your head? Something to cool your head off after all this work?
Now that e-mail is working and I was able to password-recover my "bwilson4web" account, I'm liking it more than 'everybody'. <grins> Bob Wilson
May not be exactly what you want, but I use 'my content,' located under the account name at the top of the page.
Bob, Hope you are well. Hope your short post is but one of many more to come... There's been a serious dearth of graphs in your absence.
this is ok. as long as its faster and adds voice dictation (to hide my piss poor typing skills) and washes the car once a week i am ok with it
There used to be a tab, whenever you had one of your own photo albums open, where you could click "add photos". I've spent 3 days now without ever finding out how to add additional photos to an existing album of mine. ????
