Saw a really lame Prius yesterday on the 405 freeway. The red Prius had plastic spinner hubcaps, a big powered by Nike sticker on the rear window and Yosemite Sam mudflaps.
There is NO accounting for taste, or lack thereof... But heck, if they're happy! At least it's a Prius!
was it more "rice" lame or "dork" lame? I've heard those spinner hubcaps improve your FE by 5 MPG's.... <_<
That's right. I'm sure there are many out there who think us lame simply for driving a Prius, and vice versa. To each his own.
Makes me think that it would be a great Twilight Zone episode. Where there's this guy who insists that the world would be a better place if only everyone liked what he liked and agreed with his points of view. Yeah, that would be a good one.
I remember back in the day when people thought it was lame that I lowered and put 7inch wide wheels on my 77 rabbit. Turns out I was just way ahead of the curve! I may be sorry for asking this (and not that I really like spinners anyway) but what's dangerous about spinners?
I don't know of a single person over the age of 16 that thinks spinning hubcaps are 'cool'. But at least they picked a cool car to put them on. Poor Prius.
Rotflol. I still remember when our neighbor called me over to check out his new and expensive spinny hubcaps + locks on his trail blazer (house on wheels, IMO). Neighbor: what do you think of them? Me: do they improve your miles per gallon? Neighbor: No me: do the improve speed? Neighbor: No me: complete waste of money. Pretty, but a waste.
What ever floats your boat. Not for my car but for that person OK. Also remember it was seen in California.
Hey! What are you trying to imply about California?? Even I think spinny hubcaps are weird and annoying...
Just to let you know, the Prius does not have crome spinner rims. The Prius has fake plastic spinner hubcaps.
must have been a young person driving that one. when i was in high school the nike emblem was huge among all the dopes who drove big trucks to school...
where can i get black spinners? and fuzzy dice? and headlamp eyeshades? and fender skirts? please, don't tell me.
Well, they may have seemed like a waste of money to you, but not to your neighbor. I'm sure anyone could pick out things of yours that they would consider a complete waste of money. If something fills a need or a want for a person, then it is not a waste of money, regardless of what you think.
