The dealer where I'm getting my Prius uses Clearshield paint protection by Bekaert and not 3M. Does anyone have Clearshield? Are you happy with it? How much did you pay for the kit installed? They're asking $679.00 for: front bumber, grill, hood, headlights, A pillar, 1/3 fender, side mirrors. Thanks and Happy New Year.
Greetings, I am the happy owner of a brand new prius 3rd gen (4) 2012. I went to Ziegert in Indianapolis and they want to charge me $999 for the full clear shield. He also tried to sell me rust protection and other stuff for a similar amount. Is the clear shield worth the investement? Also should I take the car to the dealer instead? thanks, samer
I think I understand the new car mania and wanting to keep it clean, protect it, and be proud of the purchase. However, I do not see any "protection" value in clear coating a perfectly good Toyota paint job regardless of who does it. That $999 will provide me with roughly 14,000 miles of fuel as of yesterday,s gas prices in Greensboro. Keep the money in your pocket for now.
