Was having issues with orientation of the map when I started the car. After a few seconds it would work fine. Was driving by the dealer and decided to stop by. The service guy said he had an update for the car. 15 minutes later my car was running 1.8.4. Drove away and my navigation is having major issues. Blue dot jumping around on the screen and im off like two blocks. It fixes itself for a few seconds but then jumps two more blocks. Anyone else have this issue?
Did some research and found some Camry users with the same "blue dot" moving around the screen. Im surprised no one on priuschat has had this issue. Will be calling toyota support tomorrow.
I haven't noticed it but will watch a little closer if I have the nav system up. I was just upgraded to 1.84 earlier this week. W

Theory on the blue dot: Could it be that the blue dot is the actual GPS position and the arrow is the road-locked position used for navigation? The blue dot would tend to move around some due to inherent inaccuracies in the GPS. If this is the case, this would be an interesting feature. --Dave
The blue dot moves around a lot. After a while my arrow will go to where the blue dot is at. Im parked on the third pic. The blue dot is correct...the parking lot of a starbucks.
Talked to Toyota over the phone. They told me they had never heard of the problem and that Im the first to report it.
I think you hit the nail on the head. It looks like it's showing the exact GPS location you're at. Try it in a parking lot, etc.
Wanderer, I noticed that you have a 2012 Prius v; I got my on 2/24/2012. The navigation maps on my system shows NQNA2010Q4, can that be right? If you don't mind, can you check your system and let me know. I tried calling several dealers and they were useless. MimoToy

I have noticed the blue dot. When I am parked in my driveway a distance off the road it shows exactly where my car is. The vehicle position icon is on the road in front of my house.
Working from memory here (and a bad one at that!) go to settings, general settings scroll to bottom to system info. It will be 1.7.4 or 1.8.4. W
I did and didn't gain a thing. I'd just make sure they do it at the first service but notify your sales team it needs to get done. There is supposedly another update being released this Spring to give the display audio ( what we have) the same apps as the advanced tech package. W
I started getting this issue today. I had 1.8.4 for almost three weeks and it was fine until now. I got the nav override installed today at a car audio shop and on the way back to home, i was testing it and it suddenly occurred. It jumps all over the place and after some time it fixes itself. Did you find any resolution for this issue? Also do u have the nav override installed on ur car?
I don't have anything installed. Still getting the issue. Toyota call center says I'm the only one who has ever reported this. I call BS on their part.
