Anyone tried using a USB splitter on the c? I would love to be able to charge the Iphone and pay music from a Flash drive simultaneously.
Try this instead: Amazon: Griffin Powerjolt Dual Universal USB Micro: MP3 Players & Accessories its cheaper and is guaranteed to work. I would recommend that exact brand as well. I tried a few others and the larger ones stick out to much. That one fits very nicely. I have it in my Prius C III right now. I also removed the stupid little cover over my 12v outlet because with this adapter installed it was just in the way and the adapter stays in my car all the time. p.s it wont let me post a URL but you can find it on Amazon for $8.
I tried a non-powered USB hub and a powered USB hub, both do not work. Note: The phone may charge, but data does not work. The head unit says something like "Unrecognized device" on a C2.
have u considered a separate cigarette lighter powered USB power supply? I got one with two USB ports that r supposed to put out enough juice (2.1 amps) to charge even an iPad. cost less than 5 bucks with free shipping check out the genuine-griffin-car-cigarette-powered-dual-usb-adapter-charger-for-ipad-iphone-black-dc at dealextreme.com good luck
