New Hybrid Owner Orientation at SAH in Honolulu is booked solid till October. June and August sessions filled. Prius Cs are backordered for two or three months but the orientation sessions for new hybrid owners are backed up for almost 5 months!!
"Topics of Discussion: Dealership Information Service and Maintenance Interior and Exterior Care Answer any questions you may have regarding your new vehicle" They even have representatives from service and parts department to answer any questions owners may have about their hybrids. I talked to a Prius owner at my work place - he said it's worth going to. They do kinda tell you about changing your style of driving to take advantage of the hybrid's strong points. Oh and they serve food and beverages too.
Sounds kind of like the "new Toyota owner's orientation night" we attended, maybe a bit more in-depth and Prius specific. We were just in Hawaii, Maui and Oahu, and driving a couple of BOATS, the last a Mercury Grand Marquis. It felt SO good getting home to get into the Prius.
Nope. Stealth vacation, lol. First time in the tropics, an eye opener. Honolulu's freeways are a bit of a downer though: 6 lanes both ways in paradise ;(
You're not missing much. They were having one the night I picked up my car and I just sat down without "registering", got the free food and gift bag and the talk. The info was less than you'd get reading here. After spending time here, you'd probably be giving the talk or correcting the presenters.
Ditto. You'll learn a heck of a lot more about your car by hanging out on Prius Chat, although, in addition to the food and drink, they may give you a coupon for a free oil change or something.
