Got the car April 14th and have put on 1400 miles already in just slightly over a month. I just filled up this morning for the third time. My last tank I got 520 miles and still filled up with 8.7 gallons. I averaged 57.9mpg which is higher than my previous tank. 1st tank - 51.5mpg 2nd tank - 52.3mpg 3rd tank - 57.9mpg I'm really looking forward to seeing the results of tank 4, maybe I can hit 60!
That is great to hear. I thought you'd end up doing better. This was about my progression, too. Keep it up and I expect you'll hit 60 in the next tank or two. Just takes a little practice! I've gotten to the point where I don't even hear the radio while I'm driving, I'm so focused on optimizing mpg. I really enjoy it, though. I can only imagine what I'd be like back in a regular car.
In Havasu City, they have 87 Octane 100% ethanol-free gasoline for sale. You'll see even better mpg & your engine will be quieter, smoother & it will have a bit extra power. Sorry! No 100% ethanol-free gasoline in Las Vegas.
