Has anyone received a CA Green HOV Sticker yet?

My $8 check was cashed today. Application mailed 4/30.
10 days.
Let's see when the stickers come.

 

That's fast. I sent my application on April 28.
Nothing happens so far.

 

Application mailed on April 18th. Green sticker arrived on May 2nd. Woohoo!

 

It took mine about a week. I actually got my stickers in the mail before they cashed the check.

 

Or we could just privatize DMV. Works a treat in Pennsylvania; this I know from firsthand experience.

 

Please don't do that here in Calif... I'll pay more taxes! I like having services for all Californians. 'Privatizing' has already caused enough harm as it is...

 

Hang in there. They are drastically under-powered and overloaded. Mine worked after I called them. But that was a 3 day time killer to get through the phone struggle.

 

Can you share the number?

You all would not believe what happened to me!

I got an envelope from DMV today, thinking this is the moment I've been waiting for...Nope! I did not get my sticker!!!!

I got a "Clear Air Vehicle Decal Certificate" and my complete application with check attached..The certificate has my license plate #, my vin, my name and address. It even said I paid $8 but they returned my check.

I really don't get it! Do I suppose to tape this certificate to my window?!?!? Where are my stickers!!!! Do I take the certificate and redeem it at my local DMV?!?!?

THIS IS REALLY MESS UP!!!! I just want my stickers......:frusty:

Anyone know if I can do this in person? I am willing to fly to Sacramento DMV to do this in person.

It took 15 days for my check to be cashed, and it arrived 1 day later!

My check was cashed 4/26 and I got the stickers 4/30. Took them over 2 weeks to cash it. Overall timeframe a little less than 3 weeks.

 

Looks like they had some startup lag, because I mailed my form on Tuesday and received the stickers today (Saturday).

I love it when government works.

 

Got 'em today, 4 days after getting my plates and mailing the forms in.

Well today is my Birthday!!!!

And today I received the Green Stickers from the DMV! Maybe that is the real reason they sent back the application the first time -- they wanted me to get the stickers on my birthday

Now for the weird stuff: As stated below I received the rejected application on 4/28/2012, a Saturday. It was too late for me to go resend the letter then, so I waited until Monday (4/30/2012) after work. The letter was signed for on 05/02/2012 at 6:30 AM. I am happy to know that someone actually gets up so early to pickup the DMV mail. The ID card for the HOV stickers has 05/05/2012 on it (Saturday?). The check endorsement has 05/06/2012 stamped (Sunday?) Does the HOV clerk at the DMV only work on the weekends, and that is why it takes so long? There was another copy of the registration card enclosed with the stickers, date stamped 05/07, and the check cleared B of A on 5/9, with it deducted from my Credit Union on 5/10. The Sticker Envelope postmark is 05/10/12. Maybe they wait for the check to clear before mailing the stickers.

Oh by the way did anyone else note the pseudo typos on the bottom part of the HOV sticker ID card?

 

I noticed that it instructs you to put the front sticker on the right front bumper, "as shown," but what's shown is the sticker on the front left. I also put one of the large ones where a small one goes, but they don't come off, so... oh well...

 

Eh, I don't think any of that really matters. As long as you have stickers, you're good.

 

I had mine applied to my forehead with XPel.

I hope you treated your forehead with 3M Prep Solution 70 first.
