To start off with I am asking the value of my car, not trying to sell it here and therefor will not be posting a link to the add. I seriously just want to know the real value. Not that that is out of the way its a 2002 prius, 143k miles, loaded, with GPS and 2011 maps, 2 sets of wheels and tires a winter and summer set both with lots of tread, clean title, upgraded battery to the 2nd gen cells and a upgraded auxillary battery. Replaced the front wheel bearings, front struts and mounts, all Toyota recalls taken care of. Drives fine and has no issues. The only issues with the car is the rear bumper has lots of scratches and the plastic dash trim surrounding the radio is cracked. I have maintenance records from roughly 70k miles, mostly from the previous owner. So whats the car worth? I am asking $5500 and willing to settle at $5000. I based the price off other adds with 120k miles asking $6k without the new batteries or extra tire set. Am I asking too much?
It's really all about condition and driveability, but I think you are right in the ballpark at $5K - $5.5K. There's a guy another thread over that just paid for one that had a lot of minor problems and 200K+ miles for $3.8K...yours sounds like a much better deal.
Just checked that's a 3.5 hour drive to meet halfway. Too far for me. Ok I will keep the price the same. Thanks
