So...22.2k OTD is pretty good then? (C2 with only floor mats, no trade in, 1.99% financing, including GA 7% sales tax) I previously thought that was a bit high, but seeing this post makes me happy!
Take a look at Hammer Toyota they have a good selection and gave me an good deal on my C3. Seems like they have a good inventory of Cs right now. http://www.hamertoyota.com/search/New+2012+Toyota+Prius%20c+tymM
22.6K was everything (out the door). I'm not mentioning it because I think it was super, but to give you some data to work with. I was calling/visiting 4 or so Toyota dealers including Santa Monica, Carson, Culver City (Miller Toyota). I mentioned 22K flat to one dealer and he basically just refused to speak with me again. Offered 22.6 to Miller, and they accepted right away on condition that I pick from the 2 cars they already had available. I ended up thinking that involving more dealers and working and waiting another day, somebody would have been willing to come down to 22.2K, though I am speculating...

I got my C2 for 21475 out the door, and I live in So Cal as well so the exact same fees apply. I'm not sure if I got a good deal bc I'm a good bargainer or because I got it right when the C first hit the lot or if it was because I paid in cash. But I would be more than happy to give you who I worked with and where if you are interested.
Well that's pretty much what I wanted to avoid; overpaying by $1,125! $400 or $500 given the quick purchase I needed to make, but not $1,125! Oh well, next time I will buy a new car before the old one dies...
Try not to worry too much, in the whole scope of things a you will easily save a grand in gas on this baby
I got my deal through DCH Toyota in Simi Valley. I mostly dealt with the internet manager Michael Dowel, so you should be able to email him there and discuss numbers. The thing i liked about that dealership is they just gave me the invoice so I could see what prices I was working with and come to a fair agreement, and there didn't seem to be any shady business practices. A day or so after I bought my car, went with a friend to the Ford dealership right next door (he was looking at the fiesta) and they told us that the invoice was "a confidential document" and laughed when we asked for a copy.
Idk by c 3 trim was 23,860 sticker after taxes and everything ( factory options sunroof, mats, alloy wheels ) ( ext warranty ) it was 26k maybe ur ok idk ill shut up now
$20,885 for the Prius -$5,000 trade =$15,885 +$992 tax +$425 total of other fees etc. =$17,302 This is the salesman's rough guide. But, I think it's going to be within a few bucks. The truck was in NY on Wednesday, so we might be picking it up at the beginning of next week..
Boston area, got ours in Moonglow for 22026.81 OTD (including floor mats). $20285 (MSRP $20885) $1267.81 (6.25% sales tax) $349 doc fee $125 for new tags/registration No trade-in, 2.74% through our credit union.
The sticker price was $19,945 for my base C. I traded a 10 Prius II with 32,000 miles on it and got $19,500 for it which in this area is retail So, I was left with $445 to pay plus title fees and license transfer and some $30 or so for sales tax. In the Midwest this can be done but in California I understand they are asking $1 to 2K over sticker.
My out the door was 22200 (invoice 20100) for a C2 with mats and bumper guard. Took me about a month through email to get a good quote and finally walk into a dealer to pick it up.
I have a 4, but here is how my breakdown went $22,930 (23,230=MSRP) -$5000 trade in =$17,930 +$750 destination fee +$800 moonroof +$200 doc fee +$150 registration +$2000 in taxes (grr Seattle 9.8%) =$21,830 for my Priuc C 4. Without trade in (and minus the moon roof), it would have been around $26,000 or $27,000 Hope that helped!
