I bought a Le Bra for my 2011 gen 3 prius 2. It looks nice but it covers the Nice front Toyota Medallion. I dont want to cut a hole in the Bra so I thought I'd see how the medallion came off and remount it when the Bra is on. I had to do this for the license plate holder. I cant seem to find out how the Medallion is attached. Anyone know how to get it off and back on?? Thanks for the responses. I did get it off. It was harder than described. But the medallion is mounted on a thick plastic Spacer so I dont think I could reattach it over the Le Bra. I dont want to cut a hole in the Le Bra. EdIris
Are you really sold on this whole "LeBra" thing? In my totally worthless and eminently totally ignorable opinion, especially on non-SUV vehicles those bra's are so 70's, 80's looking. I've also heard horror stories about long term use leading to uneven paint fade and/or damage. I would really recommend a looking at a Clearbra. Similar protection and almost invisible. Basically maintenance free. It is a more expensive option. I certainly wouldn't want to remove the front medalion, then attach it to the LeBra... Sorry, feel free to ignore my opinion (everyone does). Just wondering how commited to the LeBra you actually are....and if you know there are other options, that personally I think are better....
I saw a Le Bra or similar black pleather bra on the front of a new Leaf yesterday and two things came to mind, 1. they still make those, 2. how old fashioned/ugly. Posted from my iPhone via the Tapatalk app.
The front badge is held on by two screws. Access is behind the grill, in front of the radiator. Look for the DIY horn mod thread. The OP has a bunch of pictures on how to remove the plastic shield above the radiator, then the badge.
Thanks to xliderider for answering the OP's question. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get direct answers all the time?
Like your post is a direct answer? Listen, I figure with a question like that? Somebody is going to give him the "direct answer". But I also feel like post in a forum? You open yourself up for opinion. I have read horror stories from people about using those Vinyl/Cloth bra's from the 70's. Dirt getting trapped, Paint fading out of balance... I personally think they look dated. I do think with Clearbra, there are better options for protection. Is that answering the OP's question directly? No. But I think he should be made aware of some of the potential drawbacks of using a "LeBra". Then of course it's up to the individual.
Thanks for youe comment. But I had a Le Bra on my 99 Camry for over 11 years. The metal under it looked better than anywhere else. EdIris
Thanks for the info. I guess beauty is in the eye of the Beholder. I think the Le Bra looks Nice. It sure makes it easier to recognize my car. EdIris
Don't ya love net-nannies? I agree that vinyl car bra's have become a bit "analog" looking. But to each his own I guess.
that's the point that was trying to be made.. it's uneven with the rest of the vehicle when you take it off.. like a farmers tan that makes you look like a redneck. the toyota emblem itself it held on by plastic tabs. there's no way to attach it to the le bra unless you glue the thing on.. at which then you won't really be able to put it back on the car when you take that le bra off. you're better off cutting a hole in the le bra.
