On the front of the C there is a small, slightly slanted square area/panel just to the left of the grill (looking at it from the front). Does anyone know what that is? They actually include it on the exterior drawing of the car in the owner's manual, but they don't identify it. My husband wants to try to pry it open. That's a bad idea, right?!!
Its where you a attach a screw in eyelet and can connect to a towing winch to pull the auto from being stuck (or any other time you'd need the car pulled)
If it is the same as the liftback, then an eyelet was actually in place to secure the car during its Pacific cruise. The eyelet was removed and cover panel pushed in place at the U.S. port. Three years ago we has some pictures of cars waiting at the the port in Japan, with eyelets sticking out of the front bumpers.
Thanks!! I was looking at the spare and the tool kit and wondered what the heck the eyelet thing with the threads is. Took my friend, reading the manual, to find where the jack is - under the driver's seat - in a box.
