But in Austin they have a ton. About a month ago it seemed like they had more 2011's than anywhere else in the whole region combined.
Just bought the Prius 3 with nav and added leather seats (no solar roof) for $25,300 + TTL. Got an additional year of covered maintenance on top of the standard Toyota Care (so 3 yrs total). Got talked into buying the platinum extended warranty for $1,904. I had the option to buy w/o leather for $24,500 but decided to spring for the nicer seats. MSRP on the Prius 3 with solar roof (same retail price of leather) is $27,825 on the site so I think I did well.... Can anyone tell me if this actually was a good deal? It was my first time buying a car and negotiating on my own. I wasn't even ready to buy yet! My lease isn't up for another 3 weeks!
Hi folks, I need some help making a decision. Previously, I bought a New 2011 Prius III (26900 OTD @ 2.9% -60mos) six months ago but recently was rear ended on the freeway. I returned to the same dealer to make another, "New" purchase. I was sold a 2012 Prius III (26900 OTD @ 3.9% - 60mos) but as I drove off the lot, there was a lot screeching sound. This was at 9PM and so I was advised by the dealer to return the next morning. As such, I drove all 20miles home with the intimidating sound. My husband took a look at the car and said there was missing pieces. Infuriated, I returned the next morning and spoke with the General Manager (GM). We learned that my “New†car was traded from another dealer when it wasn’t supposed to be because parts were removed for another vehicle. They don’t know how mine slipped through the cracks, but it did. GM advised that he can return my money, replace the parts, or supplement with a new car. The compensation factor was no additional charges for a white care and interior scotchguard. At the time, I agreed to swap for another 2012 Prius III. I was stressed, frustrated, PTSD from my recent accident, working a full time job, and just didn't think much of it. After the whole debate, the GM gave me a 2012 Prius III to rent for the time being. After driving it, I realized that the screen was smaller than ideal so I began the process of asking for a Prius IV w/Deluxe Solar Panel option (this comes with a bigger nav screen). The Customer Relations Manager is offering, $30,600 selling price and $33,500 OTD. PLEASE advise, is this a good deal? Should I seek further compensation? I really need your help on this guys.... Thank-you in advance!
Prius Plugin $32,809 Base model $ 4,995 Protection Package $ 55 Documentation Fee $ 229 Theft Code (installed on every car at this dealer) I was on a waiting list for a PIP, dealer called when a pre-order cancellation became available. I figured I did not have much negotiation leverage since the dealer can sell the car to the next person in the waiting list for the same price. I asked about what was in the protection package since I misunderstood the price to be $49.95 when I talked to the floor manager on the phone. He showed me the door & edge molding on the car. This did not make much sense, but I had to take it or leave it. They did get me the license plates the next day so I can apply for the carpool lane sticker. I guess I am a happy new owner of PIP. -- update -- While I was updating my user-profile, I did notice the navigation as an additional package. So the Protection Package must include the navigation & backup camera as well. That makes more sense.
This is about 1.5k-2k less than what I thought was a good deal on the same model. Guess I need to shop around some more! Thanks!
Prius II w/ mats. OTD 24,209 at Riley Toyota in Jefferson City, Missouri. Highly recommend this dealership over the ones in the KC area because it has lower admin fees and lifetime limited Powertrain warranty. We went on Amtrak one-way tickets, $20 each, and the sales guy offered to pick us up at the station.
I just bought a black 2012 Prius III (3) from DCH Torrance Toyota. It is does NOT have a moon roof but it has floor mats, back cargo net, door edge guards and the back bumper applique. I paid $23,688.00 (pre taxes). I added the extra 5 year service/maintenance plan for $525 and the platinum extended warranty for $1126.00. I also got the Xzilon paint and interior protection added on for free. My out the door price was $27,763.26 .... If I hadn't added those 2 things my out the door price would have been $26,112.26. Got 2.9% APR I originally was going to go through the costco program at another dealer. Their best offer for the same car was $24,400 (pre taxes) I sent them the above quote and they said they could not match it.
I am sure that I could do better on pricing if I A. Did not want the sunroof B. was more flexible about color.

Can someone recommend a dealer in Northern NJ? I'm looking to buy a Prius C two in a few months. Thank you.
Androfoodie, Which dealer did you buy your Prius Two from? I've contacted many DFW dealers and have not received one that good yet... New Inventory of dealer websites are total bogus??? Vandergriff in Arlington's site shows they have 131 new 2012 Gen 3 Prius (31 of 2012 Two among them) yet they emailed me saying they have no two at the moment but should be able to locate one. Their OTD price? $26,808. Wth
