I've mentioned this issue in a few other threads but have not run into anyone else with this problem. The only way I can get my iphone 4s to connect to Entune is to connect it to the USB port BEFORE I start the car. If I conncect it after the car is started it just starts playing music from my phone and I can't do anything to get it to connect to Entune except turning off the car and restarting it. Once connected everything works fine (except Pandora which continues to be very sketchy). Anyone out there have this problem, or better yet, a solution. Can't wait for it to be able to connect through Bluetooth as Toyota promises, but I'm very skeptical about this knowing Toyota's history with interface.
we had trouble with hooking up w/entune, needed to use the usb wire. then my wife tells me we have to pay for the time used to verizon. no thanks, it's not that good. (we have the iphone 4s super great phone !!!!
It uses your data plan that you pay for anyway. You'd only pay your carrier more if you exceeded your allotment which most people don't come close. W
After a few start up hiccups it is working great. I have an iPhone 4s also. Own the car for 4 months. In early talks with Toyota help line try these tips. First off I connect with blue tooth only. Try doing these things. 1) uninstall the entune app on your phone and reinstall it. 2) turn your phone off and then power it back up. 3) if the phone is having trouble connecting thru blue tooth push the phone button on the car and disconnect it then reconnect. I have the entune app running on my phone all the time so just get in the car and do nothing else. I am connected to pandora which I listen too all the time.
first, there isn't any package 5. it's a trim 5. the package is the ATP, which is the advanced tech package. i feel that you have the ATP package if you are using Bluetooth to hook up to Entune. because the instructions i have to hook up to Entune say's you have to use a usb cable. (if you have the standard audio system)
