She is definitely the darkest--by a long shot--Caucasian I have ever seen. Most absolutely cannot get that dark no matter how much they tan. She has irrevocably destroyed her skin and it is certainly a wrinkled mess now.

If the entire case is built off what her daughter told her friends, that's pretty flimsy. Added to the fact that the daughter, from the video, is a redhead and (like most redheads I've met) likely burns easily, it's pretty easy to believe that it all happened as the family claims - the daughter was outside the booth, and simply got burned from the sunny, hot day. Besides, do we really want to take the mother away sooner than her tanning habits will anyways?
those actually made me laugh, good job. tanning is something i'll never understand, i have red hair and burn within 5 mins of being outside. i'm pretty much destined for melanoma.

Tanned skin was viewed negatively in 1900 - only the working class had tans. Post WWII tans were in as being a sign of the leisure class. People in the 1950s and 1960s worked on their tans. We now know there is no safe tan, it is a sign of premature aging.
