Hello Everyone! I have just signed on the dotted line and hope to take delivery of my 2010 Prius G3 next week. It's a UK import (I'm in Mallow, Ireland) and is being retrofitted with bluetooth and cruise control by the Toyota dealer in town. Have been stealthily browsing the forums for the passed week or so and I'm looking forward to sharing my Prius stories with all of you! I may even start blogging about it on my website! I am coming from a 2009 Ford Focus 1.6 petrol and am hoping for better MPG and a lot more fun! Looking forward to getting to participate in all discussions! Any other Irish users here? I'm Dutch, btw, but living in Ireland for nearly 10 years! Regards, Bart
I hope you enjoy your Prius as much as I do mine! The English Prius will have different trim levels than North America, so even when you document as well as you did being in Ireland, you still need to filter out comments by those of us who are unaware that what we are offered is not the only configurations possible.
Welcome to Prius!! We look forward to hearing all of your right-hand drive adventures! From what I've read, a gallon is measured differently in the UK and Europe than here, so your mileage reports may differ from ours.
Yeah, I was aware of that. If anything the Prius seems to be a bit simpler to understand here compared to the US. Prius II, III, IV and V with (pack of choice here) seems rather complex. It seems to be either Basic (pretty good) or Luxury. And then there is several packs you can add. Yes they are and coming from a country that uses km/l or l/100km it's all a bit confusing. The car is a UK import and the fuel economy is displayed in MPG so that may help things along a bit. I was getting about 28 MPG and I am looking forward to at least doubling that! This is according to google as I don't really know what I am talking about! MPG is one thing but this car is a serious step up from the Focus kit wise.. and I don't even have the touch screens and sat navs that others in this forum have! I am really looking forward to getting it. My wife, one tough cookie to deal with, managed to talk them into installing the bluetooth and cruise control for free (about €1000 euro worth). I love that woman
Picking it up tomorrow afternoon!! I will take pictures ones I got it and have stopped giggling with excitement
If we see a picture of you dressed in green, red hair... Your hands clapping together... There better be a rainbow and a pot of gold next to the car...
