My "remote management" app has not worked since Sunday, it still shows the SOC from Sunday. Any attempt to update it displays "Update request was not successful. Please try again. OK" I have a case opened with Toyota, they are befudled. None of the remote apps are now working, ""Charge Management", "Remote Climate" or "Vehicle Finder". Nada. Looks like the safety connect telematics have died, or the communications to the Toyota servers is dead.
Mine is working. I just refreshed the charge management page and it returned the expected results with the current time.
Mine works as expected. Here's something to try, though. Since you can't nuke Entune on your car, go into iTunes and ditch Entune from your apps library, then reload it all over again and see if that wakes anything up.
Mine was working fine, then I upgraded Entune and I got the same error yesterday. I did not try it today though. Nope, just tried again and still nothing. This sucks. Same error as the OP yesterday and again today. i did log out and resigned back in, nothing.
Yup, looks like the app update broke all of the remote app access, I'll call the case manager and point him at the problem.
I had that problem a couple of times yesterday and today; came back later and it worked fine. works fine just now as well. reminds me of the melee getting into the pre-order web site. does the telematics on the vehicle use 3g or 4g or private signal?
I know that cell sites become overloaded at times and customers cant make or receive calls during "rush hour". I wonder if that is the case with these entune request interrupts?
I never had this problem until updating the Entune app in my phone so I personally don't see it being an issue with the network being overloaded. Plus around here, I never ever have a problem making/receiving a call due to overloading. That is unless it was on 9/11 or the blackout that hit the city in 2003.
I've not had any problems with new (or old) entune. I use it to check the battery status every day! In fact, today was the first day that I finally remembered to remotely turn on the AC before I headed over to the car. I can't wait to try that on a really hot day. I assumed you tried signing out and then back again. I don't remember whether I did that or not. It's worth a try.
I've got an Android Phone, Samsung Epic 4G, running Android 2.3. Of the Entune Applications, the Charge Display works almost all of the time, and the Vehicle Finder works almost all of the time, but sometimes you have to pinch the screen to change the zoom to get the map to show up. The Remote Climate has given me the most grief, and mostly just fails sending the command to start the remote climate. Of course, I just did it now and it worked, so that's like worked correctly one time out of five....
Yeah, that does nothing, it almost looks like the telematics from the car are no longer talking to the Toyota servers, nothing has updated since Sunday (the display I see is always the same), I am no longer getting charging complete emails either, its more than just the iPhone app thats broken here, its the communication from the car to whatever its communicating with.
I have a 2012 PiP Advanced, and the Remote Climate from the iPhone app has been really flakey. Seems like it works about 30% of the time. I click "Turn On Climate", and it sweeps about halfway through the temperature sensor, and then reloads to the same page with the "Turn On Climate" button on the bottom. Sometimes if I force quit the app, and wait about 5 minutes it'll tell me it's on. Sometimes, I can't determine anything, and don't know if hitting "Turn on Climate" again will turn it on, or turn it off. Just no feedback, and inconsistent performance. Anyone have this problem, and figure out a solution? Car off, Doors Locked, and Climate on Auto with it about 80 deg outside, and climate set for 68. Thanks.
Does this login have a web site you can log into, like Toyota Owners? If so you could try and clear the cookies on the web. If its just a phone connection can you try and reset just the network on the phone? That has worked in part on some phone to hardware issues for me in the past including Entune issues.
No, I was hoping over time it would become more reliable, but it still rarely works. Wondering if it's a 12v batter problem.
