I know there are other 'roof rack' threads, but it would be sweet if we could start a thread with people who have a roof rack (or some way of carrying more than one bike) on a Prius C. Please post photos if you have them! Thanks!! Also, I was at the local Toyota dealer yesterday, and they pretty much said "we can do anything" - roof rack, heated seats in a C3, tow hitch to mount a bike rack, etc. But when I walk in and he told me that the C5 is the one with the 16 inch rims, and also when he couldn't even find where to 'jump' the car, I was not too impressed with them. I felt like I knew more about the car than him, by reading this forum, and other resources online.

although racks can be cool and i have had them before, i find, for me that putting the bike inside by just taking off the front tire and left pedal works great! i believe that with a blanket thrown over the first bike that you could put 2 inside and not have to mess with racks. but again, thats only me, because im kind of lazy.
I managed to get two bikes in the back of my C. Had to take both wheels and the seat from each bike off, then stood the frames up...was a bit of work, but it worked, with no damage to the interior.
I know one bike will fit in the back, but what if you have a friend! Possible for 2 bikes in the hatch? yes. i used to put two bikes in the back of my GTI, but they don't stack that well. And also, here in the northwest, we ride cyclocross, and muddy bikes are not too compatible with the back of car!
ohhhhh. hmmmmm.well now. so ok i would use a rack then.i admit im a fair weather rider. heaven forbid i should get mud on my bike! yuk!
I'm about to buy a Prius C, but I found out you CANNOT add a tow hitch for bike rack... so, before I buy, I need to know if I can add a roof rack - I regularly have 3 mountain bikes or 2 road bikes with me for weekend trips. Any advice?
Anyone have any luck with Thule? I have a Thule roof rack system with ski racks that I want to put on the C from my other car. I haven't gotten my C yet to see how the feet are going to work. I have a feeling I can use the same cross bars (prob cut the length down) and the same ski racks but just have to get new feet.
